The Freeman Suit - Mohair Blend
This is the definitive American suit. Mohair, derived from the Angora goat is unique because it's naturally durable, wrinkle resistant and breathable with a very unique luster. Mohair has a much coarser and crisp hand, which is why a 100% mohair suiting fabric feels coarse and is very expensive. In order to get the sharp lustre and wrinkle resistance of the Mohair with a softer feel, Mohair is often blended with wool.
Our version is cut from an all-season 9.75 oz. Super 120's / Mohair blend woven by Lanificio Angelico. The jacket is built on a "floating" camel & horsehair canvas with high armholes for easy movement and comfort. This is a modern fit, well tailored without being too narrow.
The plain-front trousers are also cut slim and taper slightly from the knee down. The trousers have a plain front and a zipper closure. Please note: The trousers are sized down 6 from the jacket size (36 jacket means 30 trouser).
